Most of you wouldn’t know that my journey with MCC Toronto began back in 1991, when a friend suggested I come to a ‘nice gay church’ with him. Little did I know he was also setting me up on a blind date with one of his friends. I’ll just say that only one of those introductions worked out! Over the years, my world has expanded in amazing ways because of MCC. I’ve grown in my spiritual self, made deep and lasting friendships and witnessed how MCC has impacted so many lives for the better. Our roots in the gay community have been a bedrock as we’ve grown to welcome so many from all walks of life over the past 38 years. So here I find myself now as Chair of the Board. What a privilege to represent the congregation in this way, as we all strive to chart a course towards the future for the church. Our job as a Board is to listen, learn and apply our best judgement to the many decisions we make. We are blessed to have so many at MCCT who share these goals.
